The Year-Long Service Activity is a requirement for confirmation.
- Select your Year-Long Service activity. See the summary on the Volunteer Opportunities Page.
- Work on the Service Activity throughout the year
- When you write your Letter to the Bishop (due at your confirmation interview) include information about your service activity.
- There will be a "Service Expo" at the church. You will have to put together a display (see requirements below).
- Requirements for the Display:
- Put together a display to show:
- what you did
- how it helped people/animals/environment/etc.
- how you felt about what you did
- Be prepared to talk about what you did and answer questions from parish members
We will ask for 2 or 3 volunteers to do a brief talk about their volunteer activity at the end of mass.
